The Psalmist asserts that The Lord Gas has become his salvation. My concern is what has driven the Psalmist to confess such a statement in the world? There are two essential elements of Christian belief: acknowledging the fact that the Lord God our complete strength and affirming the Lord our mouthful of song. It is impossible to take refuge in the Lord Jesus for our complete deliverance of sins, so long as we rely on our human strength and man-made contentment or self-sufficiency.
Micah 6:8 ESV “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
Our Lord God expects us humans to fulfill three essential things in life. First, we should do justice to our life that is to repent of our sins and to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour. Without the Lord’s salvation, there’s no hope for our life. Second, we should be after godly love and affection. Let our kindness should be known to our fellow believers and non-believing neighbourhood. Third, we must just humble ourselves to the Lord Jesus Christ and learn the Word of God. The virtue of humility cannot be taught but caught only when we walk in accordance with the gospel of Christ. Humility is determined by the application of the Word of God in our everydayness.
Galatians 5:22-23 ESV “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
Proverbs 27:2 ESV “Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips.”
Proverbs 10:28 ESV “The hope of the righteous brings joy, but the expectation of the wicked will perish.”
There is hope only when we make right with God, for we become righteous through the death of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. Nobody can become right with God, unless he or she believes in the name of Jesus Christ and accepts Him as their personal Saviour.
