Luke 16:13-15 ESV “No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” [14] The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all these things, and they ridiculed him. [15] And he said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.”

Our Lord Jesus Christ talks about the detrimental effect of money and its influence in life. When the worldy acquire wealth, they consider themselves powerful, high, and important in the society. The sense of self-importance grips them so that they cannot think about anything but themselves all the time. They view everything from their point of view. Wherethey don’t get due attention, there you don’t find them. They are, in fact bound by such pseudo nature to live out their experiences.
